How to Publish a Virtual Tour

Go live with a shareable link, embed code, and QR from /share

Virto 360 share page with publish button, public link, and embed options

Publishing is the step that turns your private work in /filters into a tour anyone can open. Until you publish, only you (while logged in) can preview the project. After publish, Virto 360 assigns a stable public URL you can email, post on MLS fields, embed in websites, or encode into a QR code. Publishing is free and unlimited — there is no per-tour fee or viewer cap.

Pre-publish checklist

Publish from /share

  1. Open /share from the editor toolbar or your dashboard tour list.
  2. Review the preview — it shows exactly what the public sees.
  3. Enter or edit the tour title and optional description for SEO and social previews.
  4. Click Publish tour (first time) or Update tour (after edits).
  5. Copy the public link, embed code, or QR from the sections below the button.

First publish may take a few seconds while Virto builds the public snapshot. Subsequent updates are faster. If publish fails, check that at least one panorama remains in the tour and your session is still logged in.

What viewers get

The public tour opens in any modern browser. Viewers drag or swipe to look around, click hotspots to move between scenes, and can enable fullscreen or VR mode on supported devices. No login is required on the viewer side. Social platforms and messaging apps show a preview card when you paste the link because /share sets Open Graph metadata from your title and hero scene.

Update without breaking links

Edit freely in /filters — add scenes, replace blurry panoramas, tweak hotspots — then return to /share and click Update tour. The public URL, embed iframe src, and QR code all stay the same; only the content changes. That is important for printed QR materials and MLS links you cannot easily change after listing goes live.

Sharing options after publish

Virto 360 does not lock publishing behind a paid tier. If you are new to the platform, start with getting-started for the full upload-to-share workflow, then connect-panoramas and add-hotspots to polish navigation before you go live.
